Our local neighborhood maps are created from multiple laser cut layers, highlighting both the urban and natural elements of the space. A matboard street map is overlaid onto thin maple wood with layers of acid-free European papers beneath, drawing attention to the green and water spaces of the neighborhoods. The map is constructed inside a frame made from Canadian white pine, with a crystal-clear acrylic glazing.
Total framed dimensions are 8″ x 6″ x 1.25″ deep.
Text identifying each neighborhood is etched onto the frame.
Contact us to edit or personalize the etched text, or to engrave a custom note on the hardboard backing.
About the seller: Mosey is a collection of wooden, place-inspired pieces by Alex Ahrens. All of my products are designed & handmade by myself in Austin, Texas. The woods I use are primarily domestically-grown and are sustainable hardwoods, and all products are hand-finished and shipped from my studio. In addition, I use primarily paper-based packaging.
